SDC-1188 - STEP 1 of 3 (the database)

This migrates the ATDB-LDV database to have Activities It also has a other refactoring/improvements, but the code to fill/update the activities is still commented out for safety. (STEP 2) Also, the new functionality to fill the GUI is still commented out (STEP 3)
