How to use these templates (init script?)

Team Rainbow is adopting this repo for new projects (yay 🌈) However, the project was cloned (including MRs and issues). This is probably not really usefull

How do we want other people to use this?

• Make a manual copy?
• Add a cookie cutter recipe? (https://cookiecutter.readthedocs.io/en/stable/)
• Add a small script, which performs some find and replace on the package name and removes the old .git folder and creates a new one?
