SW-74: non part of SW-74, but had some small tweaks lying around for ltacp to zip the datastream while transferring. This is not used by default, but can be convenient when testing for stalling transfers due to globus-url-copy choking on certain byte patterns in the datastream. gzip alters the datastream, so globus-url-copy should not stall when the datastream is altered by zipping it.
