Update example

Bram Veenboer requested to merge update-example into master

Two small changes to the example:

  1. Don't set the default device to "default_device", as this causes issues with the PMT::Create interface
  2. Print absolute timestamps in continuous mode to prepare for a follow-up MR where the dump file also has absolute time stamps
